Nice Stay with Room for Improvement

We enjoyed a lively atmosphere during New Year's Eve with plenty of space at our table. The music and disco added great energy to the night. The main course didn't meet expectations, with our beef wellington being dry. Consider opting for the lemon meringue instead!

Excellent food for dinner and breakfast.

Pleasant staff and stunning location right next to a dual carriageway, everything was great. Booked a room with lovely views of the pennine hills. The breakfast was plentiful and excellent and the main bar was a plus. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here.

Accommodation quite nicely located, right next to the highway. But still not loud. Room spacious and quite nice.

The shower anti-slip mat smelled very unpleasantly of rubber.

Location: the hotel was very close to the suburbs and Huddersfield.

This place suits me perfectly! I enjoy the free wi-fi, bar/lounge area, and 24-hour reception. On my first stay, the staff helped with plug adaptors, which I appreciated. Definitely a great experience!

The location was a bit off to the side and right on the highway, but it was described in that way. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The room of good size, very clean.

Good price fast on the motorway.

Room was verysuper clean and cozy, and had a great shower. The grounds were well kept with lovely spots to relax.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good and the rooms are clean and spacious.

Light conditions are uncomfortable for a hotel like this and the water pressure in the shower is almost non-existent.

Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was exceptional. Location not too far from Town, only short taxi ride away. Husbands played golf at nearby golf course which was very kept and staff there were very pleasant and helpful. All in all, ticked all the boxes for a perfect weekend.

beautiful gardens and easy access to parks and landmarks

I enjoyed walking through the beautiful gardens nearby and found it super easy to get to parks and interesting spots like the Colne Valley Museum, all within a short walk from the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It was very quiet.

Unfortunately I arrived for dinner at 20:30. This seemed to late for the hotel. I ordered a medium steak from the restraunt menu which arrived with everything deep fried. Chips, mushrooms, onion rings, all ozzing with grease. The steak was over cooked I complained and got free cheese and biscuits, but not enjoyable. Reception staff was busy leaning out the window having a smoke. Budget hotel and you get what you pay for.

Bed was small - should increase to a queen rather than a double. Sheets resembled hospital bed sheets.

My recent stay was delightful! The breakfasts were amazing. delicious and freshly cooked. The comfortable room was upgraded unexpectedly, and the staff made our visit feel personalized. I'd definitely choose this place again!
